In anticipation of the summer months, wanted to spread the message to go out and play when we knew people would be the least likely to step outdoors. We were inspired by one of our earliest articles, which detailed the lengths Pinoys’ would go for their passions. So we sent a camera crew all over the country to capture vivid, dynamic images of the one game sure to engage the most number of Filipinos: basketball.

With the direction to illustrate our point in as striking a manner as possible, we asked the team to shoot games in unlikely places, a task the team accomplished above and beyond the call of duty, capturing pick-up games on railroad tracks and a flooded town, – even three-pointers taken in front of an erupting volcano!

Wednesday, January 31, 2018 5:15 pm | Albay Region, Bicol | Day 10 of Mayon Volcano eruption. Thousands of families were being evacuated. 

Inspirational and real, this true-to-life photo series not only pays tribute to the passion of aspiring ballers, but the lengths Pinoys would go to enjoy their favorite game.
